The Student Lab is an open workshop designed to enable all students to work on their own projects. Whether you want to work on your own home automation system, build a shelf or 3D print an action figure, here you will find a place where you can realise and develop your ideas. We are happy to support you as mentors.
The Student Lab is open every Tuesday from around 17:30. Depending on how busy it is and how much time the mentors have, the lab is open for a few hours. As a rule, the doors are open for at least 2 hours. If nobody turns up, we reserve the right to close at 18:30. So if you are planning to arrive later, please send us an e-mail beforehand.
The Student Lab is located at the University West in room 43.1.106. You will find it if you walk from the bulbous lecture theatre on level 2 towards the library. Then take the first staircase down on the left-hand side (this is the non-window side). The second door on the right is the entrance to room 43.1.106.ite.106.
Do you have a big project, a question about our machines or can't come to our opening hours? Then simply send an email to student-lab.kontakt(at)uni-ulm.de. Even if we can't find a solution to your problem, we often know who you can contact.
During our opening hours, you can also reach us by phone on +49 0731 50 26441.
The Student Lab is part of the Electrical Engineering Study Commission at the University of Ulm. We are largely financed by QS funds and our team of volunteer mentors is available to all students at the university.
